Uma etnografia da migração no espaço fronteiriço franco-brasileiro: atores, mobilidades e discursos sociais

Abstract

This article aims to present an ethnography of migration in the Franco-Brazilian frontier space. Why an ethnography of migration. Because all the narratives inscribed here elucidate actors, senses, ways of being and being within a migratory process. And who are these actors. They are all those who enter the fabric of the social discourse of this Franco-Brazilian space, touring cities or fixing themselves in them, that is, Haitian, Cuban, Senegalese migrants, local residents, governmental or welfare institutions. And what social discourses are these? It is the perspectives of the migrants themselves who live the processes of mobility, as they see themselves in this migration process, those of the local residents and the perspectives of the governmental institutions and assistencialistas. Recognizing that there are several approaches and paths to be followed by those wishing to interpret the phenomenon of migration, I have sought a perspective, a look at the phenomenon of migration in order to visualize the multiple and different meanings of mobility. Thus, to try to understand the social discourses that revolved around the migrant subjects, the approach of interlocutors and institutions was the methodological locus of this research that toured the cities of Oiyapoc, Santana and Macapá, bringing together narratives through observation, listening and writing of the ethnographic meetings. The objective was to identify the perceptions and social discourses attributed to the images of migration in the Franco-Brazilian border space, to gather narratives of migrants and other subjects that compose the social structures of this frontier, describing the dreams, the goals and the perceptions of valuing the images that they themselves attributed to their status as migrants in the Brazilian territory and elucidated the perceptions that the governmental institutions and assistencialistas attributed to the presence of the migrants in the FrancoBrazilian territory.
