O crescimento da violência doméstica nos anos de 2017 e 2018 e os enfrentamentos mobilizados na sociedade macapaense

Abstract

This study aims to understand the growth of domestic violence in the city of Macapá, and the confrontations mobilized by the institutions that are at the forefront of the fight to combat this violence. Seek to understand why many women with information on their rights and the protection of the Maria da Penha law, continue to surrender to the violence practiced by their partners. The analysis of the research is based on sociological studies of authors who contributed to the understanding of domestic violence as a social problem that plagues women as human beings, from the ancestors to the present day. Many struggles take place throughout history to break down barriers, against domination, prejudice and inequality in culturally patriarchal society. To perform and contextualize the theme, the qualitative method was adopted, which allowed the approximation and interviews with women victims, managers and social agents who accompany or accompany women, who suffered or still suffer domestic violence. From the analysis of the research, the results showed that domestic violence grows at an accelerated pace even in the face of the many confrontations created through projects and campaigns. In this sense, research shows that the consequences occur in numerous situations such as bodily injury, depression, headaches, malaise, low high esteem, feminicide and even suicide. It was concluded that many measures are taken to contain and curb this violence, but much still needs to be done to change the scenario of social inequality and discrimination between men and women. This problem lacks a greater rigor of the law that support skilled women, more public policies by the State and the union of all social classes for the purpose of conscience and struggle, for women with rights and duties society without violence.
